Stupid thought of the day

Ever notice how you always point your keyless entry remote at your car before you push the buttons? It makes no sense why, but everyone does it. “It’s a remote, I must point it at the car just like I do with my TV.” Why do we do such things?
Anyone else have odd things like this that they find themselves doing? I’m sure there are plenty others out there.
